Movie Duration and Content

Well, if we talk about the basic details, you will need to dedicate about one and a half hours to watch this movie. There are scenes in this movie that I don’t think are appropriate for young children, or they might run after you with a knife in the kitchen. You get it, right? Adjust accordingly!

The Storyline

Now, let’s talk about the story. The plot follows the journey of a man who was once a killer. He has completed his last mission and now wants to live happily with his family, which consists of his wife and little daughter. However, some people don’t want them to be happy, so they come and kill his family. Now, he seeks revenge and must find out who the masked people were and why they killed his family. To know the details, you’ll have to watch the movie.

The Movie’s Action and Brutality

If we talk about the movie, this Japanese film focuses heavily on action, offering extreme violence, bloodshed, and gruesome killing scenes. Die-hard action fans will definitely enjoy this brutality. Personally, I liked the brutality and action peaks, but something was missing for me—the thrill. I’m not criticizing the action choreography or camera angles, but the thrill just didn’t hit me right.

Background Music and Impact

The background music could have been stronger. They didn’t use much rock music, and if they had added some hardcore background music, it would have enhanced the brutality of the action scenes. Nonetheless, the action itself is good. If you’re a hardcore action fan, you’ll enjoy this movie.

Storyline and Character Development

As for the story, its twists, and character development, everything is pretty average. You won’t find anything new here. If you’ve seen similar revenge-based movies, you’ll be able to predict every step of the hero and what will happen to the villain. My advice is to ignore the character and storyline if you want to enjoy the movie.

Villains and Their Weakness

There are several villains in the movie, and their masks give off a scary vibe. Some Japanese traditional elements related to rituals also add a nice touch. However, when the masks come off, the villains feel weak—almost like street thugs. The hero simply comes, fights them, and moves on.

Final Thoughts and Recommendation

In my opinion, this is a decent, brutal movie. I recommend it to those who haven’t seen many action films and don’t mind weak character development in the background. If you just want to enjoy action and brutality, then go ahead and watch this movie—you’ll have fun. The movie didn’t impress me as much as I expected. I’ve seen many similar movies, including Marco, which I enjoyed more. That said, there were some action scenes in this movie that I did like, so I’d give it a 7 out of 10.
