Tired of scaring humans every October 31 with the same old bag of tricks, Jack Skellington, the spindly king of Halloween Town, kidnaps Santa Claus and plans to deliver shrunken heads and other ghoulish gifts to children on Christmas morning. But as Christmas approaches, Jack’s rag-doll girlfriend, Sally, tries to foil his misguided plans.
At the start of the story, we see that Jack is bored of the same Halloween festival every year. When he was passing through the forest, he unexpectedly found himself in Christmas Town. The Christmas town’s colourful and festive decorations, lively music, and a kindhearted Santa Claus impressed him.
Jack is amazed by the festive colours and joy of Christmas and decides to bring the holiday to Halloween Town. He convinces his companions to celebrate Christmas in their spooky way and they decide to kidnap Santa Claus to take his place. But when Jack starts giving people scary gifts like living toys and creepy things the children become frightened.
On the other hand, (Sally) is a ragdoll who secretly loves Jack. Warns him that his plan will fail badly. The situation worsens when (Oogie Boogie) the villain of the film, captures Santa Claus. Jack realizes his mistake and rescues Santa and allows him to set things right. He returns to Halloween Town. He accepts his true identity as the Pumpkin King. At last, Jack and Sally confess their love for each other under a beautiful, moonlit sky.
